Entries are OPEN for the 3rd annual Boxer Super Run Durban - your ultimate 5km experience!

Celebrating its 3rd anniversary in 2025, the fast-paced Boxer Super Run returns to Durban on Sunday 12 October. Whether you're an elite athlete, social runner, casual walker, or new to the sport, you’re invited to experience 5km running at its finest - with entries opening on Monday 11 August 2025!

Launched in 2023 in a partnership between Stillwater Sports, Boxer Superstores and Coca-Cola, the Boxer Super Run is a world class 5km road run. With 5km being the most popular distance globally, the event attracts a diverse range of participants, from seasoned athletes seeking to challenge their limits to newcomers venturing into the world of road running.

“We’re excited to open entries for the 3rd annual Boxer Super Run in Durban - a city that has embraced the energy, fun, and community spirit of this 5km event from the very start,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a vibrant day out with family and friends, the Boxer Super Run promises an unforgettable experience. Founded with the goal of uniting people of all backgrounds and fitness levels, Boxer Superstores is proud to build on the success of two sold-out events in 2023 and 2024 as the Boxer Super Run celebrates its third edition in 2025.

Excitement Building as Comrades Marathon celebrates 60 Days to Race Day

With just two months to go until the 2026 edition of the Comrades Marathon on the 14th of June, the Comrades Marathon Association (CMA) can announce that preparations for the 99th edition of the race are moving forward smoothly, with a healthy blend of tradition and innovation. While the runners preparing for the approximately 87km ultra-marathon between Durban and Pietermaritzburg are putting in their final big month of training mileage (and some are running their qualifying marathon before the qualifying cut-off on 4 May), the CMA and its Race Organising Committee (ROC) are hard at work with the planning and logistical preparation that goes into this iconic event.
